Pierced ears for my princess!!!

I have been wanting to get Kendall's ears pierced for a couple of weeks now. Mike said that it was okay to do it, but that he did not want to be there when I did. So on Saturday I went to the mall with my mom and sister, and we did it! I didn't tell Mike that we were doing it, so we surprised him. Kendall was surprisingly good. She seriously only cried for one minute, then was back to her normal self. Carter however, was a different story. He started crying that he didn't want us to hurt his baby sister and was distraught. After it was done, I went to go give him a hug. He wouldn't even look at me! He is slowly getting over the trauma. Mike was surprised, but didn't really care that we did it. So here are some before and after pictures, as well as some fun pics of Carter.

Carter's sleepover

As many of you know Carter's Uncle Tyler (who is 4) is Carter's best friend. On Saturday night he got to come sleep over. Poor Tyler had fallen on ice before he came over and got pretty banged up, but they still had a blast. They had pizza and popcorn, watched Wall-e and Kung Fu Panda, colored, and played all night! They decided that they needed to sleep in Carter's Cars tent in the family room. I think they felt pretty cool. They didn't want to go to sleep, they were wired. Carter is already asking when he can have another sleepover!

Rolling

On Saturday night Kendall finally decided to get her hands out of her mouth long enough to roll over! I am so proud of her, she has been trying to do it for a couple weeks, but her hands always get in the way. After she did it Carter told her that she was a very big boy. (He gets the whole boy/girl thing confused sometimes. Poor kid!) So all night all she did was roll over onto her stomach and then try to skooch (sp?) around. She'll be crawling in no time!

Also, the last few nights we've noticed deer tracks in the snow in our backyard. We have an apple tree in our backyard and the apples that fell have been dug up and eaten. Deer are pretty smart! Anyway, last night Carter walked past the window and said look mom a deer! (I had no clue he knew what deer were) There was a HUGE 8 point buck sitting in the backyard eating grass and apples. It was pretty crazy to actually see it. We didn't get any good pictures of it though. As soon as we opened the back door it bolted.

On another note, my favorite tv show Nip/Tuck starts up again tonight. We'll have to see how it is. The last season wasn't my favorite, so cross your fingers. Enjoy the snow and stay safe!
